Did you miss my E-Block Report last week?
Watch it here!
Where did you grow up?
C'mon Nah .... I am G.R.I.T.S. (Girl raised in the South). I am a Birmingham native, and proud of it!
When did you decide that you wanted to do radio?
I don't know that I ever "decided" to do radio. God sent radio to me and it was like "hand in glove". I was born to do this
How did you get your start in radio?
One day on campus (University of Montevallo) I heard that a classmate had an internship at a radio station in Birmingham. I ask her the next day, (by the way I didn't even know her), if I could go to the station with her one day. I met her at the station the next day, a Wednesday. She was late, I was early, (on time), and I met the guy who would become my mentor. He put me on the air that night.....and I was hired one month later! And that's the truth!
What do you like most about Birmingham?
I love the fact that I can go fishing or camping on a Saturday. And turn around and go out on the town Saturday night!
What are you most passionate about?
Ultimately, being who God wants me to be. If I do that everything else will fall into place.
Three things that you can’t do without:
My God, my family, my accessories (shoe, bags, jewelry)....ladies you know!
Five albums that everyone should own:
1. Any album by the Clark Sisters
2. Outkast: Speaker Boxx/ The Love Below
3. "Love Jones" Soundtrack
4. The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
5. Living Legends: 8ball & MJG
Song that best describes you:
It would be a combination of two joints....Frankie Beverly & Maze "Southern Girl" with Indie Arie "Video". That's me, Tasha Simone!
